We propose:
- Non-profit sharing becomes a fundamental human right worldwide.
- No more blocks/restrictions or account loss.
The right to culture is already recognized as a human right by:
- Article 27 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) – the right to freely participate in cultural life.
- Article 15 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR) – the right to enjoy the benefits of cultural and scientific progress.
- UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), Article 30 – ensuring inclusive access to cultural life for everyone.
- United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) frameworks – affirming cultural diversity and the right to participate in cultural life.
Other UN treaties and international agreements also support cultural rights for specific groups, reinforcing the universality of this human right.
This petition stands for making this right real in the digital era.
